One of the most sought-after designs in US Paper Money, this $1 1896 Silver Certificate is nicknamed the "Educational Ace" as it features its iconic allegorical image of History Instructing Youth on the face with our nation's First Couple, George and Martha Washington on the back. The back design has the denomination prominently placed between the two to signify no ONE will come between Martha and George Washington. Consistent with the grade, there are edge and internal splits that are noticed when the note is backlit; however, they become quite diffiuclt to detect otherwise.
