ULTRA-RARE: $10 1929 FNB of WINSLOW, AZ Ch #12581 SERIAL NUMBER ONE A000001A PMG VF 20

+

A great Arizona small size rarity, this piece is one of only four small size Serial Number 1 examples from any Arizona bank save for Prescott and the only Serial Number 1 note known from Winslow. This evenly circulated and solid note is the "A" position example from the first sheet of small size $10s issued by the bank. Its only flaw is minor ink writing on the back which has been lightened.

This exact note was previously sold by Heritage Auctions in 2015 where it sold for $7,050.

To put things in perspective with the collectibles market, when this note sold gold was less than $1200 / t. oz; at the time of writing it's over $4,000 / t. oz. If this appreciated at the same rate as gold (233%), it's value today would be around $23,500. In no way are we suggesting this is a $23k item; however, there aren't many things you can buy today for 2015's price, and even fewer opportunities to spend less today. We're thrilled to offer this incredible banknote that remains just as rare as it did a decade ago for $6995 delivered via USPS Priority Express when ordered directly from Executive Currency.
