$1 1899 Silver Certificate Fr. 226a BLACK EAGLE Lyons - Roberts PCGS VF 35PPQ

The first Black Eagles have additional visual appeal, as two distinctly different blues were used - one darker blue for the serial numbers, and the other lighter blue for the seal and large "1" counter. Later issues used a single color blue for the entire overprint. It was lighter than these serial numbers, but darker than this seal. This "B" block note is bright, well margined, and only lightly circulated.
