An interesting piece which should not have escaped from the BEP. This is what is known as the highly desirable Full Flood Pattern Plate Test note.
Major ink smear exhibiting a press set up pattern with near obliteration of the entire back design. An extraordinary example of a the error, which carries a R-4 rating (the highest of the ink smear variety). While tiny smears are common, examples of this magnitude appear extremely infrequently and are worthy of the finest collection....especially in this lofty state of preservation.
