$1 1963-B FRN JOSEPH W. BARR AUTOGRAPH LCGS Vy Ch New 64PPQ

During the final days of President Lyndon B. Johnson’s administration, his Secretary of the Treasury, Henry H. Fowler, resigned. Since no new currency could be printed without an acting Secretary, President Johnson quickly appointed Joseph W. Barr to this cabinet post. Since Johnson’s term was about to expire, Barr’s tenure would last only 28 days. It was the shortest tenure in the history of the United States Treasury!

This gorgeous note features the autograph of Joseph Barr, directly above his engraved signature and is acknowledged by Legacy as a Joseph W. Barr Courtesy Autograph.

As we have a few in stock, please know that the serial number you receive may vary from the one illustrated.
