Early $5 FRN packs were seldom saved making them a scarce sighting and thought-provoking opportunity. To put the rarity into perspective, Heritage Auctions has sold only two early $5 FRN original packs, a $5 1928-A pack that realized more than $15k in 2024 and a 1950-D raw Ch CU that was sold nearly 20 years ago.
