An interesting title as both the city and state are in it. The bank organizers filled out their national bank papers incorrectly and rather than simply putting "Nevada" for the city, they filed "Nevada, Missouri." As such, the incorrect title was approved and printed on paper money. This mistake was later corrected for the series 1929 notes from this Vernon County bank.
Two state titles always command interest; however, knowing the backstory of this clerical error makes the piece that much more fascinating!
As the images show, there are some light stains on the note, but as always, please review the provided high-resolution images to determine if this note is an ideal addition to your collection.
