A gorgeous example of this Y-B block Experimental with natural paper wave, bold serial number embossing, pleasing centering of the face, and face to back registration.

This BEP experiment was the first for small size notes and occurred during the years 1932-34. It consisted of the X-B and Y-B blocks of the 1928-A and 1928-B Series (these two series were on the presses at the same time) testing different rag content in the paper, while the regular paper Z-B block for these two series was used as the control block. The X-B block paper was comprised of 50% linen and 50% cotton and the Y-B block paper was made of 75% linen and 25% cotton. This is truly a great note for the small size specialist.
