Philippine Islands Treasury Certificate 1 Peso 1924 Pick 68c
Mindanao Guerilla Currency and Japanese Invasion Note of World War Two.
A lightly folded example of this 1 Peso note that includes the engraved signature of famous Governor General (and later Secretary of War) Henry L. Stimson. The green back of this piece is reminiscent of the contemporary $1 Funny Back.
As these were printed by the United States Bureau of Engraving and Printing, the central design reads, "Payable to the bearer on demand in silver or in gold coin of the United States equivalent value."
